FEU’s Hermes Bautista, Nurse-turned-celeb

Though born in the US, Hermes is a full-blooded Pinoy. He was two years old when his family decided to move back to Pampanga.

He stayed with his mom, as his dad was then working for a US-based electronics company. He would go to the US during summers to visit his father, until he discovered that they were his dad’s second family.

Graduating with a degree in Nursing from the Far Eastern University, Hermes considered flunking the NCLEX twice as an ebb point in his life. But his family was always there to prop him up. “I was depressed for two years. But my parents told me to just keep on trying. I was not expecting that the chance to join PBB (Pinoy Big Brother) would come my way,’’ Hermes says.

Hermes instantly became the “man candy” in the PBB house. He even earned a reputation for being a flirt after he became close to most of the female housemates, like Finnish exchange housemate Katlin Laas.

Yung tinawag akong babaero at playboy, expected ko na rin ‘yun. Siyempre you cannot please everyone.

Hermes sees acting as a career for now, but after all these fade, he plans to go back to his first love, which is nursing. He will soon star with Jake Cuenca and fellow ex-housemate Sam Pinto in ABS-CBN’s TV adaptation of Ramon Revilla’s Agimat film, “Elias Paniki.”

“It feels nice that a lot of people look up to you, maraming nakakakilala sa’yo. Kaya dapat you try your best to always put your best foot forward. Huwag maging mayabang, porke’t kilala ka na ng tao. You should always remind yourself kung saan ka galing,” he ends.
