PPCRV seeks help from groups to encode ER, includes FEU

The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) has sought the collaboration of YouthPinoy and various religious and sectoral organizations in encoding the electoral returns (ERs) from last week’s national poll.

YouthPinoy is an alliance of young Filipinos who bear witness to their Catholic faith through creative means of expression published in the World Wide Web.

PPCRV said they have already gathered some groups earlier to help in the encoding of election returns.

“These groups mostly from Manila came to PPCRV office to fill-up the slots in encoding those election returns,” they said.

Among those groups are the Focolare Movement, Daughters of Charity, Diocese of Pasig, Chiro, Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, Military Ordinariate, Religious of the Virgin Mary Sisters, Miraculous Medal Parish, Religious of the Virgin Mary Lay, Hospicio De San Jose, Sagrada Familia and the Dioceses of Antipolo, ParaƱaque, and Maasin.

The SM Corporation, Coco Plans, Far Eastern University and the Poveda Parent Teachers Association have also helped.

Meanwhile, Ana De Villa-Singson, PPCRV media communications director, said whenever the workers were few in the ER counting, the religious have been always there to extend their helping hands.

She said some religious groups pledged to send their other members to fill in the seats for volunteers.

Singson also said the nuns are fast and accurate in doing their work because they are “spiritually guided.”
