FEU V-league 2nd conference lineup

FEU star player Rachel Anne Daquis who has been previously reported of joining a volleyball team in Germany is set to reunite with the Lady Tamaraws in this year’s Shakey’s V-league second conference which is scheduled to open on July 11, 2010.  Daquis will join the team as a guest player together with Michelle Carolino. Other team includes Ateneo, Adamson, St. Benilde, Lyceum, National University, San Sebastian College, and Perpetual. Despite frequent rumors, former player Mica Morada will not be seen donning the green and gold jersey at least in the foreseeable future although we have seen her competing in the FEU Athletic League (FEU Intramurals) last school year representing IE and there’s no official statement yet as to whether ace playmaker Shaira Gonzales will join the team as the latter has yet to recuperate from a shin injury. Veteran setter April Jose  and libero Rose Taganas have also left the team.

With those aforementioned losses in addition to the low performances during previous UAAP Seasons, team captain and reigning UAAP MVP Cherry Mae Vivas is expected, more than ever to step up for the team as the Volleybelles is on a major revamp  albeit the team has had one of the best program in volleyball with 29 UAAP championship crown to date. Reportedly, the V-league tournament was set as a tryout for all players who will make the official UAAP Season 73 roster.
