The University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) official website has started the countdown to the opening of UAAP Season 73, said to be the most prestigious collegiate league in the country.
Hosted this year by De La Salle University, The new season opens with colorful opening ceremonies at the Araneta Coliseum on July 10 under the banner “Where heroes are made.”
National University was supposed to host this year’s league, but La Salle asked original host NU to swap hosting rights as its hosting stint would mark the yearlong countdown to the Lasallian community’s centennial celebration in June 2011.
