A reliable diagnostic procedure for osteoporosis is bone densitometry. Located at the Ground Floor of the Technology Building, Far Eastern University, Nicanor Reyes Sr. St., Sampaloc, Manila, SPARC - a joint venture of The Medical City and Far Eastern University is offering free osteoporosis screening using a peripheral bone scan on March 8-11, 2010, Monday-Thursday, from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 1:00-4:00 p.m.
SPARC was inaugurated last January 20 2009 during FEU’s 81st founding anniversary with Dr. Alran Bengzon, Chief Executive of The Medical City and Dr. Lydia Echauz, president of Far Eastern University (FEU), leading the ribbon-cutting ceremony. It aims to provide healthcare for athletes for speedy recovery from previous injuries or illnesses and further enhance their athletic capabilities.
“SPARC is not only for competitive athletes. It is for everyone,” John Andrew Michael Bengzon, president of SPARC said.
