Fresh from topping the Physician Licensure Examinations, The Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Memorial Foundation (FEU-NRMF) once again proved to be one of the leading medical institution in the country, as two of its students, Grethel Severino Navarro and Mark Laurence Seminiano Ventura placed fourth and sixth respectively at the Medical Technologist Licensure Examination given by the Board of Medical Technology of The Professional Regulation Commission in the cities of Manila, Baguio and Cebu this March 2010.   FEU-NRMF registered a 97% over-all passing percentage, the second top performance of a school with 25 to 99 examinees.

Fast Facts: FEU-NRMF was born fifty years ago from a vision of Dr. Nicanor Reyes , founder and first President of FEU, to pioneer a non-sectarian education dedicated to nation-building. It was formerly known as FEU’s Institute of Medicine. On August 7, 1970 the Board of Trustees, upon ratification by its stockholders, announced the conversion of the Institute of Medicine, School of Medical Technology, and the hospital into a non-stock, non-profit educational foundation, now known as the Far Eastern University-Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation.

From Morayta, the FEU-NRMF transferred to West Fairview, Quezon City in  1999 for a healthy, safe and peaceful environment for education and medical care. The latest addition to the FEU-NRMF family is the School of Nursing which began admitting students in May 2003.

FEU-NRMF Institute of Medicine has indeed grown since its inception 50 years ago - it has more than 7,000 graduates, more than 100 topnotchers, and countless successful practitioners, innovative researchers, and dedicated teachers to show as proof of its success. But one thing has remained unchanged: the Institute's commitment to always be at the forefront in the formulation, development, and implementation of global quality standards of medical care.
