Business magnate Manuel V. Pangilinan (MVP) recently presented the Dominador Reyes Pangilinan Endowment Fund, reportedly amounting to five million pesos to Far Eastern University (FEU) to help the school’s underprivileged senior students from both FEU Manila and FEU Makati.
The Endowment Fund, named after Pangilinan’s father who attended FEU during the 1930s, is intended to support the university’s seniors majoring in Accountancy, and Business & Finance who are experiencing financial difficulties. It also aims to remind students that monetary issues should not hinder them from graduating and finishing their courses.
During the recent signing ceremony for the endowment fund held at the FEU Makati campus, Lydia Echauz, FEU president said, “We are honored to receive this grant from Mr. Manuel V. Pangilinan that will provide assistance to our senior students. We believe this will inspire our seniors to give their best to achieve their dreams”.
In the same event, Metro Pacific Investments Corp. (MPIC) represented by MPIC president Jose Ma. Lim and MPIC vice president Melody del Rosario, signed a sponsorship package for FEU’s basketball teams.
