UAAP 72 cheerdance tickets now on sale

Monday, September 7 or less than a week to go before the much-awaited UAAP 72 Cheering Competition, tickets were finally released. The 80% of all available tickets were equally distributed to all 8 participating schools and the 20% remainder were handed out to ticketnet, the ticketing arm of the Araneta Coliseum. If you’re a student or alumni from among the UAAP schools, the selling might start on Tuesday since Monday was a holiday while in Araneta, it started selling on Monday. Ticketnet will however implement “the playing school prioritization”, with which the buyer is required to present a school ID. In a case where a representative buys for the student, the School ID must be presented together with the letter of authorization. (photocopy of the School ID is accepted provided that it can only be used once). For alumni, ticketnet will require Alumni ID issued by the school. If no ID has been issued to the buyer, any document/proof of school attended must be presented; and only two tickets will be sold per customer.

Upper Box A - 170

Gen. Admission – 55
Note: tickets bought in schools are usually discounted.*

Trivia: Last year, the Cheerdance Competition recorded a 23,443 paying audience. UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe holds the most number of championship plums (8), followed by the UP Pep Squad (5) and FEU Cheering Squad (1); since 2003, UST, UP and FEU were the only schools  placing in top 3.

*UPDATE: as of Sept. 8, 2009 FEU will no longer sell tickets in the campus, for those who still want to buy tickets you may purchase it directly at the Araneta Coliseum
