FEU Women’s Basketball routed to final 4

Jocy Pocitos scored 16 points while Raiza Palmer added 11 markers and six assists to lead the defending UAAP women’s basketball champion, Far Eastern University to a 52-51 win over Adamson at the FEU Gym. The win pushed the Lady Tamaraws on top of the standings with a 13-1 record and the first twice-to-beat advantage in the Final Four. Adamson’s loss forced them to a playoff for the No. 2 spot with La Salle, which scored a 73-67 decision over University of Santo Tomas in the other match. The Lady Falcons and Lady Archers hold similar 12-2 slates and will play in a one-game playoff on Wednesday with the winner earning the second twice-to-beat edge in the semis round. Despite the loss, the Tigresses clinched the last semis berth with an 8-6 mark.
