FEU Lady Tamaraws shut out UST growling tigers in four sets (25-14, 19-25, 25-22, 25-23) on their semi-final meeting of the UAAP women's volleyball season 71, February 22, Sunday at the Arena in San Juan, thus got the chance to defend their title against DLSU Lady Archers. The FEU team had combinations of plays and certainly upbeat with their game, to compare to their play-off match with La Salle last week. That is to include the quick spikes from Shaira Gonzales and Mica Morada, crucial digs from Gonzales and the team's libero, Rose Anne Taganas and power hits from Cherry Vivas and the game's best player Rachel Anne Dacquis who scored 20 points. On the earlier men's volleyball match, UP defeated La Salle and forced a rubber match on February 25. The championship game between FEU and La Salle (Game 1 of Best of three) will be on March 1, Sunday at the Arena.
